The Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design at Waikato University has had its fair share of firsts. Created in 2002, it was the only computer graphic design programme provided by a University.

This unique programme was developed in close collaboration with the design industry, with an eye to the international market as well as the local one. The result is a new breed of designer: graduates who combine skills in creative design and visual communication with an understanding of the huge potential offered by new technologies.

The University of Waikato Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design (BCGD) degree is a specialist three-year design degree which will enable you to combine skills in visual art, creativity and lateral thinking with an ability to problem solve and a focus on new technology.

This professional degree is unique in New Zealand and in line with new international developments in design education.

We are an interesting bunch of characters, Each with unique styles and personalities.

We are a creative bunch of crazy people, passionate about design. We've all been working away at gaining a degree in graphic design for three years and now we are displaying our final big project. We look forward to seeing your smiling face at our exhibition space.

BASELINE

Members of the public are invited to come and view the exhibition “Baseline”, a collection of projects produced by third year students as part of their Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design (BCGD) studies.

Each project on display represents a major piece of work designed and produced by students in the final year of their degree. The collected works address a diverse range of problems and goals using a variety of media.
